On a very wet start to the evening and everyone huddled under the tree the last eight went onto the green and produced some excellent bowling on the very tricky Bowring green.  Tracy had a hard tussle with Cheryl at onne stage being 13 5 down but came through to win 17. Lisa's game against Margery was even close it went to the wire at 21 -20. After being quite even in the first half of her game with Celia Jane bowled some lovely bowls to finish off her game 21 11 and Gwen Wilkes proved to be just a little too good for Sylvia Jones from oxon winning 21 14.  The semi finals were both close with Tracy just edging Lisa out 21 18 and Jane beating Gwen 21 20 they were both superb games with some excellent bowling from the four girls.  The final saw Tracy off like a greyhound determined to defend her title of last year and Jane despite some brave efforts just lost her weight but never gave up. A very big thanks to the Bowring for hosting the competition for us and providing the refreshments after the match I know a few people there must have worked very hard for us. Tracy now goes onto try and do a little better than last year in the Champion of Champions where she reached the semi finals. Good luck to her from all the Lady bowlers in Shropshire.
