| First time
playing together Tracy Ryan and Daughter Kelly Jones won the Mother &
Daughter Competition 2007. Tracy has played in the comp for quite a few
years but this is the first year she has played with Kelly, she used to
play with her Mom Phyllis Williams but the swap proved very successful.
The competition was played at Castlefields Men's green which was in fine
condition and made for some very hard fought battles right the way through
the comp. The weather for the most part stayed fine but finally threw it
down during the final. Lisa Neal and Mom Carole Beer put up a very good
fight but Tracy played a short mark along the edge for which she is
renowned and led superbly but when mom failed Kelly made up for it. It was
lovely to see so many of our Junior Girls thoroughly enjoying the day
along with their moms who sometimes got very black looks from the girls!!
